  • render image after irradiance map

is there a way to render the irrad map but not the frame (for when I'm creating the Irrad. map) I want to render a final quality later so I really don't need the renderings when I'm using incremental add (except to maby check eatch frame)

at the moment I have the settins:
    AA fixted rate (defult)
    image size half origonal
Min/max to sample more the full size image (ends up being the same size)

the idea is that I can create the Irradiance map faster if I didn't have to render the frame after it.

An old V-Ray trick is to under sample the AA with adaptive at -4/-4 for the imap pass

I agree it would be nice to render the solution by itself

How about rendering the IR map over several computers, not just one. That would be nice.

and what about filtering maps? are you going to get a difference if you check off filter maps (but leaving maps checked)?
