Never tried Octane for more than five minutes, but can you elaborate a bit more on that? Does it clamp pixel intensities?

Clamping was the only way i was able to have firefly free animation renders... Setting "Clamp GI" to 0.5 or so which also blurred the image a lot specially on fine details like trees and such. Also true about BRDF's, how come they still don't have GGX i don't know... And i haven't seen any plans to implement it i think, might be wrong here, stopped using it since 3.0 beta.
