Hi,first of all,congratulations to bdancer,you are doing a great job!
I have little experience with the script(I have tried a bit the 2.49 version and works really good and smooth),so maybe I do some mistakes.
I have tried the 2.5 version,it seems all working correctly(I see the menu options),but when I render vray renders black.
Here is my screen shot,the console gives a warning,saying that the scene is empty,but it's not.

You have the same problem as on screenshot from the first page of this topic. I already answer why this happens - your V-Ray is old and doesn't support BRDFVRayMtl.

Thanks bdancer,so if I want to use vray in blender 2.5 I have to ask chaosgroup for nightly build(I wanted to avoid this at least at the start but anyway good to know).

What does this mean? What OS are you using?

Archlinux 64bit, comparable with Sidux(Debian Sid). In cause of Blenderbuilds it's mostly ~libjpg.so*

@maces, i guess your problem could be solved by libs symlinking (you could send me a output to email if you want).

Yes of course, but I would like make a PKGBUILD (something like a custom *.deb package but without sources/binarys just the urls and md5s) So I can use the always latest version of Blender with VRay. If something is broken, I always can use your build with symlinks

Will try both asap.

Of course. It's usable for all Archlinux users and other users can adapt it easily (with respective knowledge). I will upload it to the AUR(ArchlinuxUserRepository). It's made for this . I don't know how to make *.deb anymore. But I think it was easy. I can have a look at rpms (Fedora), too.

@maces, I'll create debs myself. If you will do rpms this will be very good! Just don't hurry - I don't want too much users (especially new) to download this incomplete build.

It dosen't matter which scene it is. But I think that this is windows 7 permission issue. I will do some more
testing and try to found a solution.

Life is good. It's working...Well I have been playing with so many diffrent Vray nightly builds that it was a big mess.
I opened vrayconfig.xml file and change the path to: /stanalone x64\vray\bin\plugins and now it working. I don't know
did I change this in the beginning and that's why it was wrong or what happened, I'm just happy that it's working.
Now I can start to testing...
