    FB3000, vray has its own procedurals (noise, wood, etc...) - currently I implement Dirt, Falloff, Fresnel, Sky and Edges. Its available with custom build only by now (Texture type -> V-Ray then select subtype)

      I have thought that I will never see ambient occlusion again after switching to vray but i have forgot that ao was also called dirt shader
      is there a list procedrulas that You are going implement ? i have searched in internet a list of built-in procedurals inside vray standalone but without succes.
      i miss "only" clouds and noise from internal engine ... anyway as for now everything works so fine - it's so comfortable to use vb25 once again thank You for so GREAT job!

          I have found probably some bugs vb255/osx:

          1. Border rendering crushes blender (when vray tries send image to blender).
          Here are last lines in terminal:
          [2010/Nov/26|12:10:23] Successfully written image file "/tmp/render.0352.exr"
          [2010/Nov/26|12:10:23] Frame took 2.96 s.
          [2010/Nov/26|12:10:23] Closing log - 0 error(s), 3 warning(s).
          Memoryblock MORE THAN 1 MEMORYBLOCK CORRUPT: error in header
          Memoryblock MORE THAN 1 MEMORYBLOCK CORRUPT: error in header

          2. VFB doesnt writes file when i hit button in VFB, choose file format and place.
          3. In render panel (Output) i can choose png but it saves only .exr
          4. Does double-side work? i dont see the diference in renders...

            1. Yep.
            2. Ok - I'll report this, seems like OS X version bug. Btw, what version are you using? (build date)
            3. This because you have "Image to Blender" enabled - I choose exr to not to loose data. Save it to format you need from Blender.
            4. Create 2 planes. One normal to camera, one from camera. Check double-sided off. See the difference.

              3. Super, I get it now.
              4. I made a scene as You said two times then I get the same problem - after hiting save the file - blender autmaticly changes from vray > vray (preview mateial). But even if I choose back the vray mode it doesnt render.

                2. When render started - these are top few lines in the log window. (Build date blabla)
                4. Set full path to vray binary not relative.

                Btw, check NOTE3 section of http://github.com/bdancer/vb25/wiki/Installation - this will fix vray autodetection.

                  I've chcecked NOTE3 but i have a full version standalone and there's nothing in folder /etc. I've searched also for file: chaos.sh without a result.

                    Hi,
                    Material preview only works on osx when blender is started form terminal (... /blender.app/Conents/MacOS/blender).
                    Then also works detect v-ray button but seems that then blender uses 64-bit.
                    When manually set to 32-bit it all works ok - preview/rendering with VFB )
                    I talked with Medmed and it looks that its the same behaviour for full and demo Standalone on osx
                    so theres only some problem with paths (?)

                    btw. maybe we all should post bugs to the one thread ?

                    ps. can I change somehow to not login every time I enter the forum?

                      I saw that U probably updated lights in the script so radius works nice right now
                      but I tought that radius will have also influence on spot light borders because the always look crisp.
                      Anyway I dont know how to blury them or I is it/will be possible.

                      Is there some book/source where I can read about all the settings You implement to the script ?
                      I searched also into vray/maya help but there's nothing about spot (only ies).
                      I'm learning most of the things from Vray/Max sources but I cant fe. Spot > Advanced tab settings.

                          @ FB3000: You know of the book "VRAY the complete guide" by Francesco Legrenzi...it's 1000 pages, with everything in detail all the settings and stuff.
                          I bought it but still have to start reading it, hope to use it with blender and Vray.

                            Yes, I have already this (second edition) but point is that fe. Spot light is a standard 3ds light not vray - so info about that is very poor (p. 759) its probably because if U use max - U get info from its manual/tuts etc.
                            Blender's Internal spot light is different - has its own terminology/settings and VB Spot light has its own.
                            Im trying to figure out to which version vb is most smiliar vray-max/maya/c4d...or maybe partly to each other.
                            Thats why Im asking i just don't want to post soo easy questions (where is... or how works...) if I can read about it somewhere.
                            I know it is in most cases easy to ask google but sometimes its - saving much time - when U know that someone had read before U and it is checked source of information.
                            fe. i've read manual for vray/sketchup and then realised that in most cases it is out of date (qmc/pm) comparing to nowdays vray standalone version )
                            We should post more links with tuts/manuals.

                              Hello,

                              In latest build(vb25-33821-win32.exe)
                              mesh export does not work.

                              When No Animation Checked, It's ok.
                              When Animation Checked, some static objects are not exported.
                              If i Add modifier like Armature, they are exported.
