Hi!
I noticed a few issue with the vray output system.
If a render locally from the vfb:
I know this is probably because of maxons limitations. but if this is the case it would be great to have in the documentation
I love the option to finally use team rendering with vray because it make everything even faster!
I noticed a few issue with the vray output system.
- I've set up the output system save file location. The format is multichannel exr. (the file name is "test")
- Under the render settings the save menu i set a save location for the regular image and turned off the mult-pass image option (along with the post-effects)
If a render locally from the vfb:
- The regular image is not saved only the multichannel exr file. and the exr file has an added sequence numbering that represents the current frame (i.e. _0001,0002)
- If i have the mutlipass image enabled with post effects. it is also not saved ( TBH i don't need the multipass image, this was just for the test)
- The issue is that the output system doesn't save a regular rgb beuty image (this is really useful if i only need some small adjustments and want to save just a few multimatte elements)
- The regular image is saved as expected. but ads a dot in front of the frame number like "test.0001.exr" and the file locations is where the VR output system file location is ( so it overrides the regular image save settings from the render elements.
- The output systems doesn't add numbering to the exr named in the output system and constantly overwrites the same "test" file. If i add the $frame token to the vr output system it work as it should. this is something to keep in mind.
- If i enable the multi-pass image saving and give the file a totaly diferent name the vr output system doesn't save the VR output exr file, but at least it has frame numebring. Again this is not an issue as i don't need the multi pass image because it doesn't support the denoising channels or cryptomatte re.
