  • Vertex Map not growing in render

    Hey again,

I want to work on a shader effect, that requires a vertex map to grow naturally. I have a simple setup attached.

The goal would be to generate a burn effect, simular to this picture (from a tutorial, not identical result in mind, but the conecpt is the same):

Name:	grafik.png
Views:	464
Size:	673.5 KB
ID:	1180535

In a quick test I got this effect running in the interactive renderer:

Name:	grafik.png
Views:	395
Size:	548.3 KB
ID:	1180536

But when I want to render the whole animation, I get this result:

Name:	grafik.png
Views:	398
Size:	88.5 KB
ID:	1180537

This represents the sphere field, with which I start the growth animation of the vertex map. Is VRAY 6 not capable of recognizing growing vertex maps or do I have a weird bug in my scene? Thanks in advance for the help

    Hello jonas_schneider,

Can you please let me know what are the exact versions of Cinema4D and V-Ray that you are using? Thanks.

        Hello jonas_schneider,

Can you try updating your Cinema4D to the latest version (2023.2.1) as from our tests it seems like this issue is not reproducible with this version of Cinema4D. Thank you.

Made a clean install of C4D and VRAY, works now as intended. Thanks for the support
