    Awesome!

Would you mind also clarifying point (4) from the post above - I'm wondering if there's something we can do to simplify things.
is it possible to get these light contribution affecting the plate into separate render elements?
This got me really confused because what I'm reading is likely different from what you meant. I understand this as "Is it possible to get a light select for the matte geometry ?"

    All the best!

I created a scene with some of the render layers we need to setup that would be awesome if they actually ended up in the render elements of a single render layer instead.

            1. Images are not attached.
            2. Does the stuff you want works in Maya?

Could not get a separate render of GI component. Would take this GI render minus above combined shadow render in Nuke to get GI separate from shadows and on a black background.
              Proposed render element: GI

Realized there are some mistakes made in the previous files I sent. The takes were not working correctly.
There are some things happening with takes. I will compile a scene and sen to you.

              This is the updated files:

These renders are the shadow mattes that ideally would be outputted per light select.

                    2. Then I'm not sure we could do anything about it.

                    Ok, will be great.

                      To clarify the above posts.
What I would like (and I realize it may not be possible) is for all of the above images to come out of two separate renders.

Render 1: Fig. 4.2 Beauty of the CG objects.
Render 2: Reflection w alpha, reflectionFilter, shadowsCombined, GI, shadow mattes per light select in separate render elements. All in one render.

Thank you for taking a look at this stuff!

                      Cheers!

                        That is a shame

Here is a video from Clarrise. Showing their take on integrating CG into plates. They are showing the AOVs coming out of the single render.
                        https://youtu.be/_5PqNrrXKJY?t=215

Would be great, if not possible to add these features now, to include them in a future release of Vray.

Would this make sense / be use-able for you ? We can default those 2 lists to "*" - it is what happens currently anyway.

My thinking is that the Reflection/Refraction Mask menus on the Render tab of the Geometry node do not list lights in the pop-up window anyway (and that's by design) - you'd have to manually type the light paths. With our own lists in the object properties, we could at least make this easier.
The downside is that you'd be excluding reflections of geometry in one place, and reflections of lights in another.
Gosho.Genchev Do you know when this feature will be implemented?

Devs have already implemented, there's a minor issue that needs fixing which the devs are already looking into - I'll ping you once you can grab a new build.

As to the REs workflow above - we might be able to figure something out to make your lives easier - I'll be looking into this today.

                            All the best!

Hannes Drossel , the Reflection / Refraction masks on the Object Properties are available in the nightly builds.

                              Best regards!
