    Hey David,

the OpenSubdiv issue with nodes inside subnetworks should be resolved now.

We are also thinking of a way to de-couple the V-Ray Subdivision from the Displacement properties.

    Hope that helps!

Awesome, thank you so much, already tested and it's working

I think it makes sense, users that come from other render engines will have an easier time.

      Best,
      David.

Curious why V-ray doesn't have a button like this... "Render Polygons as Subdivision" V-ray (not mantra) -- The displacement > but turn off displace and render as subD works well.

Hello garretthoyos ,V-Ray can render polygons as subdivision, but this option is located under displacement properties menu.

            Hey chakarov,

As I stated on my other post: https://forums.chaosgroup.com/forum/...54#post1100854

This displacement subdivisions are not good to use, they are much slower than openSubdiv. Anyway I could have an answer in that post?

            Best,
            David.

Okay I actually found the object properties on the shelf when selecting geo adds an extra tab to the geo parms and then I can set it to render as SubD much like the mantra way.
