    also same is exhibted on a firends computer maya 2024 and a different version of vray

      Weird it done it on another completely unrelated workstation when I messaged about the problem to a friend, too much of a coincidence. Maybe it's a particular build. Did u watch the video and try the test scene. What version of vray, Maya and os u running. Thanks

        Can confirm. I tested the same simple setup, and maya 2024, vray 6 crashed the simplest of scenes when using a material ID on a shader...then applying that to an object, then adding that object to a scatter.

          Thanks for the report. The issue is reproducible in V-Ray 6, however, it seems to be fixed in the V-Ray 7 beta builds. I'll check if we can pick the fix in the V-Ray 6 stable builds.
