  • Proxy normals issue

    Hello everyone,

    I'm having difficulties with getting good normals on my Animated proxy.

    All is working good on my original mesh, but when I export my proxy, it seems like half of my geometry have flipped normals.

    let me show you:

    I also have to let you know that the mesh is a DMM glass sim.

    I tried with non-animated proxies, with unchecking export velocity etc etc. But the problem remains.

    did you try - don't set the normals option in the vrya proxy loader? in any case there could be an issue with the way this particular mesh is exported.

      yes i tried that, it has no effect.

      I was wondering if I could cheat this normal issue in my shader.

      I tried a lot of things, with blend materials, samplerInfo and condition nodes, but without success..

        Looks like you have mirrored the geo, just freeze the transformation and reverse the normals before you export to proxy.

          I tried that several times, you can see tha tthe original mesh have good normals.
          The problem is due to the proxy

            Do you have some "scale -1" on some transform ?
            Or "opposite face" on shape ?
