vray 3 maya - // Error: Could not obtain an interface license (-200)!

hi all

ok, installed vray 3 on new computer, ( along with maya 2014,2015, 2016) installed the WIBU drivers and license servers but keep getting "// Error: Could not obtain an interface license (-200)!" checked the status of the server (http://***.***.*.**:30304/getstatus) and all seems good there , so why can't maya find the interface license ?

please help - win 7 workstation

PS , could it be due to the fact the system only has usb 3 ports ?? the support documentation seems to prefer usb 2 ports.

update :

if i use the dongle on an older computer (which only has usb 2 ports) which is on the same network , maya seems to find the license... does this point to the use of the usb 3 ports ?

Please make sure that the License Server information is set correctly. The Primary server should point to the machine where the dongle is plugged.

If that is the local machine you could also use:

localhost
or
127.0.0.1

The dongle should work fine on USB3.0 ports but in case you have USB2.0 port on the new machine try to plug the dongle there and let us know if there is any difference.
