    Hi, if anybody could help me how to achieve that fog effect in vray? i tried aerial perspective, enviorment fog etc but all seems so flat. am i missing something or what should i do? use 3d texture in somewhere? ( i dont know hot to use them in maya )

    V-Ray Environment Fog should be able to generate similar result.
    Can you show is the result you've got so far?

      You could also use a gizmo with a falloff radius to contain the fog in certain areas only.

        my main problem is i dont know how to use 3d textures in vray enviroenment volume to make variations in the fog or fade it out slowly to certain direction like in the example picture, so my fog looks so much uniform. i know it's a maya question more than a vray question but couldnt find any resources about that. if you can direct me about that i would be very greateful.

          Photoshop. You will spend days trying to figure out how to render this... If it is a still spend 30 minutes in Photoshop and you will be done.

                  output a zdepth pass and use it in paint or comp program to create a fog effect.
