Edit : well I do some modification and again it doesnt work. I want to be sure of something, Is there a Vray displacement material ? Or do you just specified that any material is a displacement in the shader tree and change its properties in the Vray Geometry properties.Last edited by virtual_francky; 23-04-2017, 01:43 AM.

Thank you for your help.

You are welcome!
The common option properties should be there for any Vray material. You can control, bump, normal mapping and displacement amount there.
What version of Vray are you using? Sometimes you will have to restart RT for changes to take place!Last edited by Muhammed_Hamed; 23-04-2017, 03:51 AM.

I tried it now. I have the same problem too. The IPR is coming soon anyways for 3.5,and it won't have any update problems..also, I'm sure they will work on RT more too.
There is no IPR for V-Ray for MODO, the feature is specific to V-Ray for 3ds Max. So it's not coming to V-Ray for MODO.
Lately V-Ray for Maya has renamed its RT to IPR, but really it's the same thing as the RT in Max and MODO.
And yes, I have logged the issues about RT not updating properly. It will be a gradual process to fix these.

Love that video, helped a lot with Grants Lesson..
Question for you. When you mention near the end of the video, "3.5 will have glossy fresnel" , which property in the schematic view are you referring to?
I'm trying to see how to translate your last method into the GGX system in 3.5. The only new property I see for 3.5 is the GGX Tail falloff.
Thank you!
