may be but I did not have that problem before loading beta 1

beta 1 installed fine, but I have to run it in evaluation mode...is that the way to do it ?

Then If I try to change back to 5 or 1 the texture reamin like a small noise.
What are you using for a uvw generator? An explicit map channel? If you are using explicit map channel and are using the default surface uvs then the problem is that the default surface uvs are on channel 0 - as explained above.
      Second bug:
I tryed to use the cloth maps (really good) but If I try to set the tiling (inside the cloth option) I get strange surface apparing on the rendering.
Maybe this is the same problem? Maybe you could post an image of this effect or email a test scene to me so I can see what your seeing. Your scene will be kept in confidence unless you explicitly say otherwise. Thanks
I'll try tonight... If I found problem, can I send you a private mail? Thanks.

        Hy Corey,
I tryed bit more and... YES cilindrical mapping has a lot of problem.

        1) With a cilindrical map you can't press the render button whitout get a crash.

2)If you assign a single mapping to a multiple object you get stange geometry artifacts in rendering (already noticed by Micha)

        3) If you change the tiling inside the material editor the render will be like a noise. If you use the mapping option for tile the result is good.

        Thanks
        Bye
        Riccardo

PS: could someone explain me how to insert images?

If you could provide me with a test scene or go into more detail about what your using for the displacement map I'd appreciate it.
Do you mean that displacement is fully stable at your side? I could send you the file, but it is simply a sphere with a displacementmap. And crashes are not consistent. :-\

Yes - just run in evaluation mode for the time being. I don't think we have moved any licenses over to Rhino4 yet. Please bare with us.

If I use Rhino without doing a rendering it closes correctly.
I've noticed that too - this could be from us as well as what Damien suggested. I'll investigate it either way.

I haven't personally experienced any problems, but perhaps I'm doing even more simplistic scenes. I believe Damien reported such problems to me before - so you aren't alone.

I suppose so, it's the mapping channel bug. I modiefied the uv coordiantes with David Ruttens frontal projection script. The rendered viewport show me a right frontal projection and the rendering of a Rhino texture is ok, but if I set a Vray material, than the mesh uv are ignored and it dosn't help to set the rhino mapping at channel 1 and "surface".

Here a test scene, set a texture per Rhino material and than per Vray and you will see.

                      Hi Joe,

Batch render is checked, but the renderinwindow still stops whenever I click anything in the options or materials settings dialogue.

Regarding the blocks. I think the problem was with my workflow. I created one object then duplicated it to make the other colour. I then exported this second object to another file and changed the block reference to the second colour. I then tried to import it back in to the original file but it wouldn't keep the new block reference colour. I did it this way because it took about 2 hours to create the object from the about 5000 blocks. If I had have created each object from a different coloured block it would have worked... Anyway, the job is now done.

I'm noticing the same issue in regards to the Render Window issue with Batch Render checked. If I click on a Rhino Window while the "RenderWindow" command is running, the command will cancel.

If Batch Render is unchecked the RenderWindow command will run until finished.

I'm having an issue with the film width of the physical camera. It is changing itself in between renders which leads to a render thats either too close (usually very close), or too far away. I try to change it back to the default value, but it gets changed. Sometimes before I render and sometimes after. Even if it doesn't change before the render the result is usually not what it should be. I know that the film width value should be expressed in mm, and if the scene units are not in mm then there should be a conversion that happens. However, the conversion itself should happen behind the scenes (ie I should still be inputing the value in mm), and even if it is "converting" the value is not turning out correctly b/c the image is off.

... it seems to be a Vray bug: enabled vignetting cause banding effects at the rendering.
