    I think you are expecting the color multiplier to be HDRI output. This is not the case. Use the multiplier under Texture Attributes in the V-Ray Texture Editor.

      I mean, I have done a rendering without "clamp output" and saved the rendering as "*.hdr". But if I open the file, it is a LDR image.

        I'm having the same problem here, I was able to open some old scenes and it worked fine. Once Rhino is closed it keeps crashing every time you launch it like Craig said.

        Here is what the Crash dump had to say..

          Joe & Corey,
          I just installed beta 11 on my home computer and could not reproduce the crash I was having at work. At home I'm not networked, and I'm running Windows XP Home vs Pro at work. I've been using vray betas on both computers without any disparity. I may have had different Brazil beta's on work vs home, but can't remember (I'm no longer testing that).

          I did come up with a different crash tonight. Open new file, create sphere, go to assign material. Right-click diffuse and add layer (by mistake I did this), then right click default to import. Import porcelain, hit update preview: I get an unhandled exception and option to abort, retry, ignore.
          When I start over and don't click "add new layer" it all works fine.

            I am also experiencing the "crash on exit => unable to start rhino" problem.
            I unistalled vray4rhino 10.5 with the installer before installing 11. After starting Rhino in safe mode and changing the render engine it works again but only for one session...
            anything we could do to fix this, e.g. edit the registry ?

              I have got a render crash after reimport of a material. Also, the material preview render freeze the system with an error message. I will send the crash material in the evening.

                  I send no file, because I belive I have the bug: if I import a material anything is good. But if I later import an other material, than the layers are not replaced but additional to the current layers. If I activate the preview, Rhino crash. My current example: I render door opener in different materials and want to use this different materials from the hdd.

                  My first aid for user with the same problem - an object material library: I have some material assign to place holder objects outside the render view. For example three planes with alu, steel and brass. Now, if I like to change the material of my door opener, than first I select a place holder object and additional I select the door opener. If I go to the Rhino material plugin option and open it, than the material of the first selected object is enable - press aplly again and ready. The material is transfered from one object to the other.

                  It could be good to get two import option - "add layers" and "replace material".

                    Its just 0.5 because in most of the other spots that would mean an even blend of the color and texture properties. For the environment page it should probably be set to 1.0 I'll change that.
                    Joe, allways if I use a texture than I don't blend it between the color. You could set the blend multiplier at 1 for every case.

                        Corey has managed to reproduce it on an older laptop here at the office so hopefully I'll be able to track this down and figure out a fix, or release a patch of some kind soon.

                          I have tested a mapping per a second chanal, but it dosn't seems to work.

                          EDIT: more info: if I rename the map chanal from 1 to 2 and change the chanal in the material too, thant I get a single color from the texture over the whole surface.

                          Small wish - for my current work it could be nice if the following bugs could be fixed first:
                          - a path option for textures
                          - a working light material

                            Only one map channel will work until RCM is completely finished and we actually make use of it. This may not be for our initial release. I don't know how far off RCM is from being at a state where I would feel 100% comfortable linking to it.

                            The light material does work, just the multiplier doesn't

                              Actually, the light material only has a problem with texture multipliers at this time I think.

                              What exactly is the problem you have with the light material? Make sure you have indirect illumination on whenever you use emissive layers or it will appear that the multiplier is not doing anything.

                                Joe, I use the light material as a background for interior scenes. I place a big plane outside the window with the texture image of a landscape. Most I use a texure intensity of 2 or 1.5. So, the texture multiplier is important for me.
                                This method allow me to get high res views outside the window and I can shift the horicont line of the outside view.

                                But a first aid for me is, I use a standard textured diffuse plane with an arealight in front.
