    Please no, I like the layer stuff. Looks fine for me. Also I would like to get a fresnel control to the main reflection options back.

        Help, the new beta 13 produce blury textures. Here two test with a 2d texture.

        Beta12.1


        Beta13.1


        Now I have a problem, in 5 days my beta 12 expire and than I must use the beta 13.

        Edit: If I enable/disable the antialiasing filter area 1.5, than I see no difference. Also I have tested different filters, but I get not the quality of the beta 12 rendering.

            The multiplier number of rectangular light will back to the default setting (30) when open......

              How are you clearing a procedural texture? By setting it's type to "None"? Or do you mean clearing the file for the Bitmap Texture?

                Ok, I found the problem. There was a screwup in the versioning of the rect light. It is fixed now, however, you will manually need to reset the values and re-save when our next build comes out. Sorry for the inconveniance, good catch!

                  Yes, Vlado said he had changed some things in regards to textures for this build. I will see if there is a way to combat this issue quickly.

                    Ok I just found what I think your talking about. If you clear the bitmap file and hit apply, it doesn't remove the Bitmap Texture. I just fixed that so it works that way now. Thanks

                      I mean, if I clear a bitmap texture. The problem seems to be, that the first m (for example at the diffuse layer) show a big "M", if "bitmap" type at the texture dialog is select independent from the usage of a bitmap. Maybe it could be useful to jump to texture type "none" if the user clear the bitmap texture.

                      • does 13.1 require SR5?

                        I have tried to uninstall v12.1 and install v13.1 and I'm not able to load the VRay plugin anymore ... it just gets an eror. Should I download the binary again, or am I missing something?

                            I am attempting a rendering which has not given me any problems before. I am not sure what I did today (some modelling) , but now it seems to get hung up on "creating rendering meshes" and never opens the VFB. After a few minutes of this, Rhino dissappears.

                              Try to do a check for bad objects, could very well be the problem. You say it hangs on render mesh, so probably it's not vray related.

                                There was one bad object, and it actually rendered fine in past renderings (a mattress). I removed it and I am still getting the crash.

                                EDIT: Ok. Problem fixed. I deleted the objects and tried to render until I found the problem. FOr some reason a simple rectangle surface caused the problem. I turned it into a mesh and now all is well in the world.
