Re: Call for more testers: The mighty bug hunt!

    Hello,

I'd also like to help to eliminate the bugs. Please add me to your beta team.
I already have used other render-engines than v-ray, but as I currently try to find a good renderer for Sketchup I could also to some beta-testing for you.

Re: Call for more testers: The mighty bug hunt!

I'd like to test Sketchup for Mac.
The latest demo version I've got at the moment seems pretty riddled with bugs..

I have at the moment SketchUp 7 (7.1.6859) and the latest demo version of V-ray.

                  Cheers,
                  Dan

danbates - Yup, there's still some bugs to hunt down, hopefully we'll be able to squish them with your help.

                        Hey Dan,

Looks like you hadn't been added to the testing group yet. I took care of that. There is a hidden section of this very forum that you now have access to.

Would love to be a tester, I work on a mac and tried the most recent demo for a few hours - but gave up due to constant crashes - so would love to help you guys get things sorted

Re: Call for more testers: The mighty bug hunt!

I have Vray for sketchup licensed on my pc.
The problem is that after installation and license process ends successfully, there's no sign of vray toolbars inside sketchup 7 desktop, like if it has never been installed at all.
                              There's no Plugins menu either.
When I tried to run sketchup 7, this bug dialog appears:

No such file to load -- R2P.rbError Loading File vfs.rb
No such file to load -- R2P.rb

Maybe there's a problem with the vfs.rb file blocking the plugin to work properly, I don't know.

                              I’m using Windows XP 2002 SP3, Google SketchUp 7.0.11018, VRayForSketchUp_1.48.66

                              The directory :
                              C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\ASGVIS\Python26 exists on my machine.
                              The directory:
                              C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\ASGVIS\VfS\Ruby contains R2P.rb .
So do I need to replace this version of the R2P.rb file with another one?
I would appreciate if you could help me out of this situation.

I’d like to take part to test groups.
Could you please send me a patch that can solve my problem?

                              Thanks

Re: Call for more testers: The mighty bug hunt!

Hi all! I use V-Ray on a near daily basis for work and my own enjoyment and was directed to this beta testing page by Dkendig.

I've found the latest version to be really good all-in-all, my only real issue has been with trying to render files from the previous V-Ray version which was how I got to hearing about the beta testing.

I'd be very interested in helping you guys out though if you're still looking?!

Either way I can't wait for the patch!

                                Regards, kris.
