Haha didn't know that there are actually other fans of Bleach here :P

Well to better explain, the main issue found is that (which was the majority people experience in this forum) I cannot render due to some problem with my materials. Some other users in this forum may find the debugging tools are useful to some extent (they could start render again after using these tools), but to me, anything I do (with these tools), on any project files that I have, no render could start, like none at all! At the end I have to move on to 3ds Max because of the deadlines.

I will test the latest version and also dive into the fireworks of the mighty bug hunt. In the end, I have a passion to fully use VfSU as my main render engine, so I really really hope everything can be fixed...

    Good luck guys!

DIDITZZZ - Yeah, we've got a couple Otaku here . I see, so the material issue you're speaking of, is the one where renders won't do anything, no error message, just stops dead cold. There have been some nice improvements that should rectify the majority of these issues. Seems that there is some nonsense going on with imported images still though... so we could always use some more testing!

        :-[
I'm new in 3D...but after thorough research, v-Ray is definitely my render choice.
Yes, I have those material issues...I did not reply on all those posts with exact same problem that I have, I just jumped here directly.
So, let me please help you... and my self, of course.
        any free seats?

P.S: I'm gona test this on Win7 32bit+64bit+Vista 32bit. Also, have Core2Duo, dual Xeon and Pentium4 extreme. Have ECC and non-ECC RAM. Also, single graphic card and dual+SLI.

Keno- Who else would be better suited to ensuring that our product's first impression was a good one, than someone who is just starting out in 3D? :ulls up a chair:: Have a seat!

P.S. Your graphics card has nothing to do with V-Ray at all. The rest of the specs sound decent though

Excuse my sincerity... But two months of testing, not is very time long? ???

I'm not talking about the competency of you, but same time.

            Thanks.

Hi, I work with V-Ray on 3dStudio, but I'm considering to use SketchUp for some less compless projects. I need a powerfull render engine for SU, and I think that V-Ray is the best, so I will help you if you want (and I can try this render engine in SU ).

Sorry for my english, I'm italian.

              Simone.

SIRPINEL - Well we could release the broken version that we currently have in beta... but I don't know what good that would do... Sorry it's taking so long, stuff keeps breaking, and we keep fixing it. As soon as our testers give this patch a thumbs up, we'll be rolling it out publicly. If you would like to test the latest version for yourself and see where the progress is, just say the word, and I'll add you to the testing team.

Thanks, but I have the first problem. In the bottom of the main forum page there isn't the VFSU BETATESTING forum. The last forum that I see is V-Ray for SketchUp::Public...

Only a doubt. To whom I speak "write" if you find a bug?

                        Thanks!

ARTU - Just posted 1.48.80 this morning. You should always check the post titled "WIP Releases >>ALWAYS THE LATEST<<", which is a sticky thread in teh VfSUBetaTesting forum.

SIRPINEL - There are instructions on how to file a bug report in the VfSUBetaTesting forum, as well as some additional information about what should be tested, and a few other topics of interest. Welcome to the testing team, we look forward to hearing your feedback!

I would like to test this out. I have an older copy of v-ray. Thinking about buying a new version but would like something with a little more flexibility than the demo version.

Right now, I currently use sketchup primarily for architecture and urban planning visualizations with some minor graphics work (pie carts, icons, diagrams).

How long with the beta version function?

Edit: I should note that I use vray+sketchup for non-commercial purposes-- education, portfolio building, competitions and general unemployment fodder.
