The last straw was finding that DOF doesn't actually work in 1.48.89

I was using zdepth and using lens blur in PS. I decided to play around with settings in Vray after I noticed that reflections and transparent objects negated lens blur effects... to no avail. I do hope for a public release sooner than later. I've really enjoyed everything new in the current release and would enjoy being a part of the beta testing.

REFORMAT - Absolutely, welcome aboard!

fopp - 1.48.89 does not work with SU 8 on OSX. Our latest beta version does, so we would be happy to hear any feedback you may have.

ACastro - Glad to hear we'll be getting some more feedback. Welcome to the beta testing group

ANDYBOT - Sorry about the DOF issues, I believe we fixed them in 1.48.96. So the latest beta should work better for you. If not, please let us know so we can try to resolve any of the issues you come across!

Hi,
Is it still possible to sign up a beta tester? I´m using SU7.1pro/vray 1.48.89 academic on mac(osx10.6.5) and having crashing problems. I am upgrading to SU8pro and i want to try how the beta works on mac. Is there topics/help how to install beta if you sign me up?

rafe - You've been added to the testing group, you should now see a V-Ray for SketchUp Beta Testing forum, and be able to download the latest beta there. The current 1.48.89 public release doesn't work with SU8, but our beta version does. We look forward to hearing feedback from your experience with the beta.

BRIANHUNTERCARROLL - Welcome to the testing group! Just to be clear, the current 1.48.89 public release is compatible with SU8 on Windows, but not for Mac. If you haven't had a chance to give our product a good test run due to the issue with SU8 on Mac, I hope this beta gives you a chance to do so before purchasing. Either way, we look forward to hearing your feedback about the beta.
