  • Projected Texture Issue

I am stumped on this one - a projected texture of the site aerial is not rendering with the mapping that's applied in SU. I have checked front faces back faces, removed the material and reapplied it and I am just lost at how to fix it.

Not sure what the issue was/is but I was able to get it the render correctly by projecting the texture to a flat plane above the terrain, click Make Unique Texture, then reapply it to the terrain.

Good to hear you found a work-around. Have you found any good solutions to finding decent aerials? (I've just been using GE Pro & municipal GIS....)

GE Pro is my go to. I use it in conjunction with DanielTal GE Maker plugin and have been happy with it.

            Hi,

Kindly note that we are aware of this behavior, which stems from the way SketchUp handles projected textures. Unfortunately, for the time-being we do not have a solution.

There is another forum post regarding this with some additional info why it occurs.
