hi!
are u using the converter to convert these vray for max materials to Vfsu materials?? or are u manually tweaking the settings???
we badly need that material repository back!!!

Hi! I would like to help in my free time uploading new materials. aser28, how do you use the converter?
I have downloaded some vray materials (.mat), installed 3dmax 9 and the converter but i don´t know how to use it, so if anyone makes an small tutorial of converting materials i would be glad to help you.

here you go little tutorial.

==========================================

1. You need create or load vray mat.
2. Then attach this mat with any objects and right click on object you can see "create vismat..."
3. You can see dialog "mat>>vismat"
or Autodesk\3ds Max 9\Scripts\Startup\VMatEx\readme.txt - mini-tutorial

Sorry. Could you say your Vray For Sketchup's version?

I use verison 1.5 SP1. There's no Item(Creat vismat....).

I really hope I can use mat>vismat. Vismat is too deficient!

Hi, TSUKIKI. The current vray for su version is 1.00, and vray for 3dsmax 9 is 1.5. You have to install:

- sketchup with vray for sketchup 1.0
- 3dsmax 9 with vray for 3dsmax 1.5
- go to downloads/Tools section, download 3ds max 9 (x86) VISMAT convertor and install it

3ds max 9 (x86) VISMAT convertor is an application for 3dsmax 9, so when you have done this you'll be able to follow aser28's tutorial to convert .mat materials into .vismat
