So from reading this post it seams there is still no online repository for the materials. If that is true I would be happy to make another site on my domain so we can look and search for the materials that have been made so far...

When I tried this material it appears flat. What am I doing wrong? I didn't change any settings to the material.

thats where the problem is.. u have to link each of the material properties like bitmap, bump, displacement to its corresponding bitmaps files provided along with the vismat...

just search for the capital M.. and replace the bitmaps...!

Apply the material and edit option displacement ... I view in material preview this...



but when rendering the grass looks like this.




I have to edit some other option so that the grass is more real?

It's very hard to find some vismat material for vray for sketchup.But the zip files I have downloaded which is attached by you is always damaged,why? expect for your help. Thank you very much.

sadly i couldn't get the whole converter thing to run properly to convert stuff by myself (also 3ds is like a foreign language to me
i think i should try on a different pc (vista is fucking some things up)

no mate i tried but its should be with jpeg map and your one not so its cannot be convertable.

There's also a pretty good Materials tutorial on this website that shows easy ways of creating more complex materials.

materials from asgvis website: do you have to have individual folders for each of the zipped file? since it comes with jpeg and png images.. we don't have to do anything else right after you extract it into the material folder in our program folder.?

no , just make material then import vismat and thats all , you can change setting for other efect

Also, thanks for the black leather, I've been trying to create it my self but it was proven difficult, since I've been working with v-ray for only a couple of days...
