i've imported all of your settings, and in your drawing it looks proportional.
but in my model/drawing i'm having these problems:

1.The grass looks very tiny (not proportional, btw im working with imperial units-cm)
2.The grass surface is drops down and creating a gap between the surfaces

ok as far as i understand this, the height of the grass is determined by the image you use in displacement. this image is what gives a flat surface the texture. the lighter values in the image (light color) means the surface will be higher and the darker values means the surface will be lower. by increasing the multiplier, you're changing the ratio of dark and light values (contrast) and therefore the texture of the grass will change. in your case im guessing that on the picture you're using you have some light and dark areas so thats why it's unproportional. the reason the grass surface drops down is because the surface of the grass in su is identical to the very tip of the tallest piece of grass in vray render, from my experience. try raising the grass up a few inches to where you want the top of the grass to be. hope this helps a little. good luck

this is the picture i use for grass and it seems to work ok

Well, peterko10ko, you're right about how displacement works, but in this case the grass is going the opposite way because the surface is pointing down. If you flip the surface so that its pointing up, then it will go the correct way. The other option is to supply a negative multiplier which will correct the direction, but probably not make the material easy to use in other situations.

                    Hi,

I have found this post very useful and have learned a lot.

I am having trouble with the viewing angle, whenever I try to use a high angle, my grass looks horible. When I use a smaller angle is looks good.

                    here is what I mean.
