I'll have to look at it again, (Edit: thanks - works great!)

For a preview, you can always render a low resolution test before you run the full size render to a raw file.

In my tests with V-Ray build 14901, the render to raw .exr format works fine, all channels are stored.

I dunno. Exr has never worked for me. I just get one file, no layers. vrimg works fine, but the converter needs to be updated to have the correct channel names.

        Edit:
Thanks to valerostudio, he pointed out Photoshop by itself doesn't read multi-layer exr files. I tried pro exr and it's reading all the layers in the raw exr file. Now I see where the source of my misunderstanding.
