3ds max + V-Ray RT CPU - freeze on autosave?

I'm using V-Ray RT in CPU mode, and I'm noticing that sometimes when 3ds Max goes to autosave while V-Ray RT is running, the entire program locks up and becomes unresponsive. I have to end the 3dsmax.exe task to close things down.

Is anyone else experiencing something similar?

That's the first time I see a report about this. Can you get me a dump of the 3ds Max process at that time - right-click on 3dsmax.exe in Task manager and select "Create dump file". Note that the resulting .dmp file can be really big, but it will tell me exactly what's going on at that time.

Also, is this with the V-Ray VFB?

Same as above. I've been dealing with this infuriating issue for the last two days. At least 20 crashes yesterday, and already 4 in one hour today.

My dump file is over 6gb so I can't get it to you but I can say that it always happens during autosave.

It will be very helpful if you could send us this dump file or maybe the scene file to test it in our environment.

I did few tests, but could not reproduce the crash here.
