SketchUp+Vray Exterior
C&C please
Cheers!

Re: An Exterior

I like it! very nice render.

Re: An Exterior

very nice , you can you explain the grass on wall plz

Re: An Exterior

looks great! Bump maps, vegetation etc work really well, only thing I’d change are the white walls which are just too perfect imo.

Re: An Exterior

Really nice. Love it.

Where did you get the trees?

I´m glad you liked it! thanks!
Trees are a combination of Form Fonts, Xfrog and Clip Maps

Re: An Exterior

there are so many good guis making very nice images, and you are one of them!

Re: An Exterior

hey nektares…
i have onde doubt…
how did you apply the ivy texture… it looks great, but how did you do it?
i mean, is it a second plane with the texture applied, and set over the wall material or what?
i can’t figure it out :-[

Re: An Exterior

you can make tuto for ivy clipmap plz

Re: An Exterior

Nektares: the trees behind the house looks very nice and the 2 palms, the brick/stone wall looks great and the lightning too, but there are some things that can improve IMO…the grass needs displacement cause in some parts like the bottom right of the image its very flat, the white walls are too perfect, silver paint car is good but other colors like the dark gray needs some glossy…also the image in the background need to be sharper cause it looks little blurry in comparision to the render..the ivy dont have shadows, to me this make it look like postpro in ps, and the most important thing to me its that the interior of the house is empty, if you can put some components inside it can improve. IMO exteriors are not easy as interiors, so you made a good job here. keep posting bro.

Sorry if im a little picky but i think you can make it better.

Re: An Exterior

Andeciuala:
Thank you very much!

Arqestevez1 and Robert111:

The ivy is a plane with an ivy texture and the clipmap texture applied to it
i will make a tutorial so you can see how it works n_n

Teofas:
thanks for the C&C, i wanted to put components in the interior too, maybe i will do it other day.
i did this render in one day from zero, so i missed several things :stuck_out_tongue: the ivy doesn´t produce shadows
because it is sticked to the wall n_n and it´s inside the render  no post processing on that one.
your critiques are very useful, thanks for taking your time to check it out. cheers mate!

Re: An Exterior

very nice exterior render, but try to improve the grass adding displacement!

Re: An Exterior

Davereyes:
Thanks! displacement grass is explosive :stuck_out_tongue: but i might try it out!

Arqestevez1 and Robert111:
I hope it helps!

Re: An Exterior

oh hoho, man, it seems that you had fun making this tutorial and you also helped me hahaha
thank you for taking the time to do this.
so… the basic idea is to set that plane (with the ivy texture) above the wall planes

Re: An Exterior

thanks

Re: An Exterior

Looks nice

Re: An Exterior

im glad i could help you too arqestevez1, and yeah! that´s the idea! and it´s not limited to bushes and trees! you can make tons of stuff with transparency maps, like people! or wires! have fun!

you are welcome robert111

thanks simas n_n
