Do we still need to do this with the latest versions of Vray?
I am on version Adv 1.09.03r and it still appears to be the case with this version. What about more recent betas?

what happens if we donot tick “apply cropping” ?
Quite often, you get multi coloured splotches all over the place. Very nice, but usually not what the client wants.
I believe this was fixed.
In what version Natty?
R i do believe
That can’t be natty - I’m on r and I still get the problem unless I apply cropping to all maps
MMM … i was sure it was fixed… perhaps im wrong .. but i havent come across this problem for a while.
It *is* very occasional, but it definately happens. Left a shed load of renders going last night. Came in this morning - splotches everywhere!
Applied Cropping to all textures. Started them going again and now they all look fine.
Don’t you hate vray sometimes?
I haven’t had problems for a while, it is more of a max 5 vs. Max 6 fix than a V-Ray problem. For people still in 5 there is a rewritten bitmap plugin that Vlado wrote for 5, it is on the documents page of vrayrender.com. Also I wrote script that will apply cropping for you it is available at http://www.varcht.com/tools.htm
I’m on max v6
