for those using windows XP, there is a microsoft utility that u can use to make thumbnail previews bigger, which will help when scanning through ur texture libraries for that perfect texture…
called TweakUI (it in the column on the right)

when u run the tool, open “explorer” in the tree on the left and click on thumbnails, u can adjust the size up to 256 pixels default is set at 96.
