Hi
I have optimized the model and material. it still cancelled rendering. Does anyone know how to solve it? Thank you.
Hi @ziyao_zhang ,
This looks like insufficient memory issue; can you confirm if it is project-specific or is it happening with any project?
Moreover, can you share more details regarding your exact V-Ray/Rhino versions along with CPU/GPU/GPU driver specifications?
You can try to troubleshoot by disabling Displacement/Fur and see if it renders fine with Material Override for example.
We’ve prepared a good article on Memory Usage Optimizations for GPU Rendering, which you can check here.
In case you are still unable to find the root cause, you can get in touch with us via our contact form and send us the project files (please use the Pack Project tool from V-Ray > Pack Project); make sure to mention this thread in the email, thanks.
I use V-ray 5, Rhino 7 for rendering. CPU: Intel(R) Core9™ i7-8650U CPU. RAM: 16GB GPU: GTX 1060. Canceling GPU rendering is for 2 specific views, and I disabled furniture and figures. It still does not work. I send you lots of email, but no one reply to me.
Thank you
Hi Nikoleta
I override all material, V-ray works. I think the problem is on the specific views. Pack project tool from V-ray always makes Rhino crash. Is there another way that I can send the project to you?
Hi @ziyao_zhang ,
So it appears to be project specific; if you are not able to use the Pack Project tool, you can still manually zip all the project files including textures and other assets. We might need to schedule a remote session to determine what the issue with the Pack Project tool is.
I am not able to find a ticket in our system from you. Upon sending us a request through the contact form, you should’ve received an email with your ticket number - can you please share it so I can look again in our system and try to find it?
The ticket number: 334-558-4760.
Thanks, you should have a reply by now.
Hi @ziyao_zhang ,
Have you tried deleting the FrameBufferState.fbs file by going to C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Roaming\Chaos Group\V-Ray for Rhinoceros
If not, give it a try and see if that changes anything.
Can you also let us know if this happens only in that particular project? If so, please forward it to us so we can have a look and investigate.
Make sure to mention this thread in the form subject. Much appreciated!
Hi, Nikoleta Garkova
I delete FrameBufferState.fbs. It still does not work. I request a ticket. Thank you.
Hi @ziyao_zhang ,
If you haven’t already, please submit a request via our contact form, so we can schedule a remote session and investigate what’s happening.
