Changes in Corona 16 for Cinema 4D (Preview):
Added:
- Added option to set background image that is not affected by post processing
- Added option to relight Gaussian splats (they will receive illumination from the scene)
- SPZ format support for 3d Gaussian splats
- Improvements in Vantage export / live link:

- Added parallax mapping for Corona physical material - can be enabled instead of displacement
- Note that there is currently a known issue when the parallax is combined with decals - we plan to fix this in the next preview build
- Added tint and other improvements to volume effect in Corona sky
- New volume effect model was already active in previous preview build, but without proper handling for legacy scenes, this version fixes this by loading old scenes with volume effect switched to legacy mode (used in Corona 15)
Fixed:

- Fixed region tool discarding regions smaller than 20x20 pixels
- Fixes in handling of Corona Bitmap enhanced preview in Cinema 4D 2023 and older
- Fixed subshaders occasionally not working in enhanced viewport (Front back shader, normal shader, triplanar shader)

Changes in Corona 16 for Cinema 4D (Preview):
Added:
- Added support for Cinema 4D 2027
- Added exposure and clipping mask support in gaussian splats
- Added support for importing parallax interiors from Chaos Cosmos
- This uses new parallax shader also added in this version, but this version does not show proper UI for editing it - this will be fixed in next preview build
- Assets imported from Chaos Cosmos are now automatically re-linked when opening on machine with different location of Cosmos download directory (when the assets already exist)
- Added tool to automatically download missing Cosmos assets in the scene
- Added support for rendering reflections/refractions of objects rendered via Render selected
- Added support for simple linear motion blur for particles rendered via Render Particles tag
- Added support for enhanced preview of Mapping Randomizer shader in viewport
- Added support for parallax mapping when using triplanar mapping
- Show warning when rendering with both ACES OT and OCIO view transform
- Multiple cameras are now also exported in Vantage live link
- We now detect errors and closing of Vantage when running live link
- Improved progress reporting when exporting scene to Vatage via live link
Fixed:
- Fixed crash in Corona color picker
- Fixed bright scrollbar background in VFB sidebar (regression)
- Fixed crash when closing CIE before denoising finishes (or possibly other action like opening another CXR, pressing erase, etc.)
- Fixed possible crash in Corona node material editor
- We automatically switch off parallax displacement (and use regular one) when using layered materials or decals, since for these parallax displacement behaves unpredictably - this also fixes issue from previous build where the parallax would simply not work when used with decals
- Fixed crash when scattering objects on another scatter (regression)
- Fixed issue with alpha source in Corona bitmap being ignored
- Fixed “Export and open in Vantage” not correctly opening exported scene unless Vantage is already running (regression)
- Fixed occasional “PREREQUISITIES_NOT_MET” error when importing Cosmos assets via Chaos assistant
