Now, that’s funny![quote=“tommygdawg, post:3, topic:51920, username:tommygdawg”]
You’re dead to me Bobby.

I agree. I have enough on my plate to try and make an image interesting. With my new machine, compared to my old, waiting 1 hour for a 4K interior is nothing. Now, with my old machine, saving an hour would be worth the effort to optimize. 1/24 BF-LC is taking an hour. If I drop it down to 1/8 BF-LC+Denoiser it’s taking 10 minutes.

I am still not nailing this one, but I am done, at least for awhile. I am not even sure these are better than the earlier ones.

A little boost in contrast

These are actually very nice!
The only thing that bugs me is that the candles are brighter than the lights

Yes, I have to rework the candles. They are okay in some, but too bright in others.

I think it might be more down to styling tbh. Technically I like the renders but all the different colours all over the room makes it cluttered imo. For example for the lounge chair shot I would have the colour of the chair be the focus/colour accent and have the rest be either white or black. Now there are other colours dominating. Kitchen is the same, my focus continually goes to the apples and picture in the background.

Added image hardly has additional colours

I started off a lot simpler, but after looking at images on-line, of other images that I thought were done well, I started to layer things up for more interest.

These images look amazing Bobby. Can you please explain what you mean by 1/8 and 1/24? What settings are you referring to?

Thanks! I use BR+LC and my BF setting were min/1 max/24, but now, I can use min/1 max/8.

How does are samples look? i bet at 1/8 its all red

I haven’t looked at my sample rate since V-Ray 3X. Sometimes, for interiors, it isn’t enough sampling, but sometimes it is. For exteriors, always 1/8.

i have been watching it though, usually its all red with 3x versions especially when you start to lower the aa samples to like 8 for the max

I am able to use the low rates because of the denoiser.
