Cloud Licensing - what steps are you taking to ensure that a broken internet connection doesn't stop rendering?

Many tears ago when Chaos switched from dongle licensing to online licensing we were promised there would be a robust mechanism in place to ensure we could use Vray if the internet was down.

Last week, the internet went down and I was unable to use Vray or even continue renders that has been sent to backburner.

What was after the internet being down for a few hours. We were told that it would be at least a day or more before the system timed out.

So I ask you again: What systems will you have in place to ensure we can continue to use Vray if the internet goes out?

An unexpected problem could be a disaster, and we cannot afford to lose access to software.

Hello, we do have an offline borrowing system with which you can use the license entirely offline. You can check the documentation below. And if you experience problems it is always best to open a support ticket (https://support.chaos.com/hc/en-us/requests/new).
Borrowing Licenses for Offline Use

@kostadin.botev
Hello,
Wouldn’t it be simpler to make the license valid for some short period of time, say 24-48 hours after each successful login?
If/when my internet connection goes out (sometimes briefly, sometimes all day), I don’t have an easy way (using my phone) to perform the steps outlined in your borrowing license link in order to continue rendering.
Thanks,
Glenn
