We are still looking for the right place on the website to store the “complete list of changes” for a Corona release - and that’s why it has taken us so long (ahem) to finally get that list to you. Rather than delay any longer, we’re posting it here to the forums in the meantime:
The larger features in this release are shown on the release page.
Below is a list of all the other smaller changes, bug fixes, etc. that were included in Corona 15 for 3ds Max and Cinema 4D (note that this does not include fixes from Corona 15 Hotfix 1).
BOTH 3DS MAX & CINEMA 4D
User-Facing Improvements

Added Chromatic Aberration as a post effect in the VFB and the CIE.

Added a check for new Corona versions. A message showing that an update is available is shown at startup (3ds Max) and shown in the About dialog and in the Preferences (Cinema 4D). This notification can be disabled in the system settings.

Removed the old material library from the Corona Toolbar - all materials and more are accessible in Cosmos.

The VFB icon is now animated when rendering is running, including when the VFB is minimized (note, this can be disabled from preferences).

Added Chromatic Aberration to post processing effects.

CIE - removed the “bake” button from the VFB LightMix tab in the Corona Image Editor and Standalone.

Bugfixes

Fixed unexpected changes to the color management settings when resetting render settings in Render Setup or when opening Render Setup while custom default settings are present.

Fixed inconsistent state of color management when having custom color space set in the defaults config. Fixed freeze when resetting settings while legacy color management is on.

Fixed IR restarting when opening Render Setup.

Fixed issue where some objects with some modifiers were not reparsed when changing time during interactive rendering.

Fixed missed logout while running two and more applications simultaneously (Standalone, Image Editor, Corona for 3dsMax, Corona for C4D).

The License Server is now not installed if the remote License Server is picked during installation.

The Installer now does not let selection of the Cloud Licensing if either offline mode or the Remote License Server is already used.

Fixed issue where accurate environment sampling could have more fireflies with ray differentials than without them.

Fixed rare cases where a plugin could fail to load due to a conflict with some 3rd-party software (e.g. Siemens NX).

Fixed issue where failing to save an image could crash the CIE, and sanitized render element names when saving all elements.
SCATTER
User-Facing Improvements
-
(3ds Max) Moved the generation of Chaos Scatter instances into the core. Some tests show more than a 40% speedup for initial scatter parsing.
-
(3ds Max) Added automatic detection of dependency loops involving mutual scatter avoidance relations.
- The plugin now prevents invalid configurations during Scatter setup and automatically disables affected scatters if circular references are created indirectly. Users will receive warnings identifying the affected scatters.

(3ds Max) Added curve-based falloff control for the Include/Exclude area modifiers.
-
Instances with random X/Y translation now conform to the mesh when scattered on non-vertical surfaces.
- Instances moved outside of distribute-on objects are automatically trimmed
-
(3ds Max) Enhanced curve editor: simplified UI; Curve defaults preserve legacy behavior; fixed Include area falloff slope orientation; removed redundant Histogram text. (Cinema 4D uses the native C4D curves).

Changed defaults for per square and per cube values.
Bug Fixes

Area filters and modifiers now evaluate at final instance positions after transformations.

Scatter version in About dialog is now consistent with Windows Program and Features reported version.

(Cinema 4D) Show a warning when “make editable” is used for Chaos Scatter without a supported renderer (i.e. Corona/V-Ray) being active.

(Cinema 4D) Fixed scatter not respecting the visibility of instanced objects.

(3ds Max) Fixed issue where an accidental inter-scatter dependency loop invoked an update loop. Now scatter dependency loops are prevented.

(3ds Max)Fixed crashes occurring when a referenced scene was deleted while using the Lister.

(3ds Max)Fixed an issue where the Map button/node failed to update after a map assignment was rejected by 3ds Max.

CINEMA 4D

Gaussian Splats and Corona proxies now use much faster drawing of point clouds in the viewport:
- Gaussian Splats can now realistically handle showing millions of points in the viewport at reasonable speed (note that this feature is currently supported in Cinema 4D S24-2026 with the exception of 2025.3.3).

Added initial core support for rendering Particles via the Corona Particle render tag and new Corona Particle material - we now invite YOU to tell us how you want to use particles, what controls you would like to see, etc. so that we can make Particle rendering what you want it to be!

Experimental Enhanced viewport preview for the Corona Physical Material (can now show Diffuse, Bump, and Emission).

Added option to enable/disable fixed shadows from clouds. When enabled, the shadows are more accurate but stay fixed with the camera position, when disabled their position is not dependent on the camera.
