Hi,
no post in a while, so here is our latest.
took approximately 7 days from start to finish.
Multiple usage of Multitexture and Floor generator + Forest Pack Pro scattering iGrass.
rendered at 3.5K around 3 hrs.
There are some issues here and there and the house is not equiped…no time and budget for that but i am hoping to revisit the scene if i get any time, possibly for the night shot
I agree about the saturation of the sky…it’s too blue to my taste, the metal roof i think the scale is off at lease for the size of the house.
I like the renderings a lot, landscaping looks great as well!!
the wood panels should stop like 6 inches before the ground level…I would match the level that you have on the deck all around the house.
Great work! The saturation works fine for me. My only concern, evaluating your rendering as I would a photograph, the sky/clouds are overexposed. In other words, if this were a photo of a built project, the photographer would be criticized for having part of the image blown out. IMO a blown-out histogram is a technical issue vs. saturation levels which, within limits, is a personal preference matter.
The reflection on the siding appears monolithic…the board joints look like they’re just painted on rather than defining individual boards. I’m not sure why it turned out that way since you used the Floor Generator though.
very good images, I especially like the way you handled vegetation, trees and grass. very well done. I agree with the following though:
those wood boards will surely benefit from a couple of maps to break the even reflection, one for the reflection channel and another one to drive the glossiness. it should add realism, and loose the plastic look they have now.
Hello guys,
thanks for the comments and poiters i really apreciate it !
* i agree with the wood but for the purpose of the presentation to the client i rather went for the “all gloss” cladding.
** the scale of the roof? do you mean geometry or texture…agree if its a texture…there could have been less repetition on it also
*** as for the cladding going all the way down to the grass, well…thats the way it has been designed, i am sure the architect has this detail well technically covered…
**** saturation…yes i am aware of that…i had to boost it a bit cos of the printer…plus…i wanted the prints catch more eye
…which brings me to the final point…the whole thing is more of a study really and had to be done in a quite of a rush among all other things so it has its “known issues” :)))))
i really hope i will have some time to revisit the scene and make it more “real” and add some interior as well and making a night or dusk shot…
the scale (geometry) is off a bit in my opinion…for the scale of the house it should have closer seams if it’s a typical metal roof.
maybe the displacement texture for the stone would need some work, the edges are rounded and for this type of stone should be sharper and more irregular on the front surface.
