Sadly I am having numerous bad behavious from Sketchup and Enscape since upgrading to 4.2.1.
I keep experiencing radom freezing/crashing where the Enscape window stays visible, but is no longer responding to Sketchup. This seems to happen when I have clicked onto a different app window which hides the Enscape window (an annoying fault in itself) but then when you return to Enscape it’s crashed. Closing the window doesn’t help, and the Enscape button in Sketchup stops working, requiring a shut-down and restart of Sketchup.
This is like having somebody randomly tripping you up as you walk. Enscape was always a bit buggy and crashy in version 2, but this has become markedly worse. I can send logs in etc, but actually it feels like this is just how the software is. Are there any general answers as to why this sort of problem is happening almost a year after the first Enscape 4 release? There have been 3 or 4 updates now, and I am surprised to be experiencing this with paid software at this stage.
I’m running Ventura 13.7.2 on an M2 Macbook Pro with loads of RAM, and SU 23. I actually had to switch back to 23 from 24 as that was also being very buggy and laggy (another story you can read plenty about on the SU forums).
I just want a smooth workflow without all this grief. Let’s stop with the localised approach to this, user by user, as there is clearly something not working very well behind the scenes here. A bit of knowledge and hopefully a projected solution with a short timeframe is what we need please.
