Dome light not updating hdris in RT mode

Hi Im using V-Ray 5 for Maya, update 2.2 (v5.20.02, revision 31195 from Jan 7 2022) and Maya 2022.3

Ive found in a new scene that Vray wont update and refresh when I load an hdri in during an RT session. So if I change maps, I need to restart RT.

Thank you both for reporting this. I have logged the issue in our internal bug tracking system (id VMAYA-10997). Sorry for the inconvenience.

Any news on whether this has been fixed in the latest nightlies or stable releases? This is quite a basic feature that really slows things down when its not working.

EDIT…just checked, its not fixed.

We found the cause and our developers are looking into the issue. I will let you know when we have it fixed.

Any idea if this is going to be a long wait for a fix? Im more inclined to roll back all of my software than stay with this bug as it stands.

The fix is ready and it will be included in tomorrow’s 5.2 stable nightly builds.
