Enscape 4.18.1 bug: Camera target changes unexpectedly whe navigating the model

Hello there

I have been testing Enscape 4.18.1 in SketchUp 2025 for a couple of days, and I have been experiencing a very frustrating bug. When navigating the model with the arrow keys to move and the mouse to look around, the camera target changes abruptly, failing to follow the mouse, making it impossible to navigate models fluidly.

I have tested it with different mouse devices; therefore, the mouse itself is not the problem. I am attaching a video showing the issue.

I hope you can provide any advice on how to resolve this.

Thanks

Hi @ChrisCaceres , thank you for reporting this and sharing the video. Since you’ve already ruled out a hardware issue by testing different mice, this jumpy camera navigation might be related to rendering performance.

To help us narrow this down, could you please try the following quick test:

  • Open your Enscape Visual Settings and temporarily reduce the Rendering Quality (e.g., set it to Medium or High).
  • Disable any active Ray Tracing features in your General Settings.

Please let us know if the navigation becomes fluid or if the abrupt jumping still happens under these settings. Thanks again in advance!

Thanks for your reply.

I have tried the steps in your message, but unfortunately, I am getting the same result.

I also updated to the latest graphics card drivers, and the problem persists

Hello, Have you checked your graphics drivers. Also try isolating another empty template to see if the same thing happens again.
