We have an Oculus DK2. it’s connected to a HP Z240 with a Quadro K1200 video card. Performance is poor - the picture jumps around. To circumvent this problem, we think about buying a GeForce GTX1080. That’s a pretty expensive card, so can anybody tell me if this will make the Oculus-experience a smooth one?

It’s a very good choice for VR and worth the invest. You won’t regret it, we use the GTX1080 on some of our machines too.
And speaking of worthy investments, I’d scrap the DK2 and buy a CV1. The price is only $400 now.
So we bought one from MSI. Was a bit of a hassle to get it into the Dell XPS8500 tower case - some ‘case modding’ was required. And a bigger power supply as well. And then… whoaaaa!
Hell yeah, the performance upgrade from a Quadro K1200 to the GTX 1080 is insane!
