Hi,
In our architecture firm, we use revit 2020 and are working on large models (multi-residential projects).
We have gone through all your system requirements recommendation threads.
We recently purchased a dell workstation with the A4000, but is extremely slow. enscape crashes and does not load the model.
We are looking to change and upgrade the workstation now.
Could you please confirm is the below requirements are okay to use for enscape?
HP Z4 G4 tower workstation
i9-10920X
64GB DDR4-2933
1TB Z Turbo TLC drive + 2TB HDD
Nvidia Quadro RTX A4500 20gb
windows 10
thanks.
Thanks a lot for your inquiry!
Right away, could you give me a rough idea how large the models are in terms of file size? In this case it does sound like the video memory may have not sufficient even though the A4000 has 16GB already which is a lot more than the recommended 4-8GB.
So in this regard it definitley cannot hurt for me to check out a feedback report which you can send in including logs as detailed here:
https://learn.enscape3d.com/bl…eedback-button-win-revit/
This will help me to see what exactly caused the crashing. Meanwhile, you can also temporarily try disabling ray-tracing entirely just the Ray-Traced Sun Shadows via our General Setting as that can sometimes help since it also clears up some VRAM.
Finally if you could let em know once you’ve submitted it that would be great, as I should then be able to tell you if the RTX A4500 is sufficient enough after checking out said report.
Thank you in advance once more!
You purchased a new workstation with 2 year old hardware architecture.

Stay away from Quadro and get a high-end gaming card that will perform better and cost less money. RTX, 4090

If Dell won’t sell you a workstation with the 4090 RTX - HP will.
