Geographic location

Hello.

Is there a way to accurate specify the geographic location of my project, because i’ve been noticing that wheter i ajust my north according to my project, my “sun” goes down at 5:00 pm , when here at my location at this time sun goes completly down at 8:30 pm… Help please

We read the assigned geo-location in the sun settings of your Revit view.

You have to use “Single Day” or “Still”.

Oh nice, but what could it be done with sketchup? here at work we use enscape for Revit and Sketchup ass well but i could not find that opption in sketchup..

Geo-locate the model in SU:

File|Geo-location|Add Location…| (select area)

you can then delete the image it puts in (after you un-lock it) and it will remember the location.

Alternatively, if you go into Window|Model Info|Geo-location you can click [Set Manual Location…] and type in a latitude/longitude.

After that, the shadow toolbar and/or shadows tray will let you set the month and time of day.

From within Enscape you can hold [Shift] and use the r-mouse button to drag right and left to change the time of day. (This will not come over to the native application unless you ‘add scene’ and keep the “shadow settings” ticked.) Also be aware that you can set the time beyond the slider in SU (for night time) by simply typing in a value into the time bit… however this can sometimes confuse Enscape for when it thinks the sun rises and sets.
