GPU Bake To Texture Roughness

Hi, using GPU, is it possible to render the bake to texture pass for Roughness, Specular, Reflection?
Thanks, N

Sorry to say, all three elements are not yet supported. I might have to render them with CPU. I’ll see if I can manage to bump the priority of their implementation.

Hi @NorthVisualStudio

How important is this to your current workflow? Can you explain what you are planning to achieve here?
This will help us bump the priority for this request

I’m creating glTF/glb assets from my V-Ray model with baked textures for real-time interactive presentations. It would be good to have the ability to bake the roughness or specular to add more realism to the final glTF model.
Because it’s for real-time web viewing, the textures and lighting need to be baked for download speed.
The glTF material in max seems quite restricted so, I’m trying to use V-Ray to do the “heavy lifting” and use the glTF material to connect the baked textures for export.
Hopefully that makes sense.

Yes, it does

Thank you!

Any news on this? Because it would be really very helpful.

Added your vote to the ticket, we will see how much effort is needed to implement this

Hi. I’m wondering about this as well. Is it possible in GPU, or should I stick with CPU for now?

Hi @Streetwise I added your vote to this ticket. We will get to this before the end of the year!

@NorthVisualStudio I just saw this. sounds like a possible solution?
