GPU : Random by poly shell doesnt render

Hi,

so I have a samplerinfo node with vray extra outputs…then the random poly shell drives a ramp…ramp is connected to color of vraymtl.

Renders fine in Cpu, not at all in GPU.

Also, i always thought there was a random by UV shell on the extra samplernode outputs, but seems like there isnt. Could this be added?

Anyway i’ve attached a scene and im using the following…

cheers

Vray 5 stable nightly build from a couple of days ago.
Maya 2019
2080ti with recommended drivers.
_bugs.zip (10 KB)

The Random by Poly sampler info option is not yet supported on the GPU. We already have an improvement request logged (internal bug tracker id: VGPU-3618 ) for its support. I’ll bump it additionally.
I’ve also logged an improvement request (internal bug-tracker id: VMAYA-9947) for the Random by UV Shell.

cheers much appreciated.

Has this been addressed ? Seems to still be a problem with vray 5, quite a big limitation for GPU workflows. Is there some workaround for this in the meantime ?

We are currently working on this, I hope it will be in the nightly builds soon.

Best regards,
Vlado

So is there any news on this? Its still not implemented on V-Ray 5 for Maya, update 1.2 (v5.10.22, revision 30963 from Sep 1 2021)

Also even more useful would be an idea on if the GPU random by UVshell will be implemented?

Thx
