hi,
using the latest 3.03.00. if i zoom in on my smoke sim too much it disappears in gpu preview. if i zoom the camera out it reappears, too close and it vanishes. switching off gpu preview shows the cells correctly close in. scene scale related maybe ? doesn`t seem to be viewport clipping.

If it is Max then you cant view GPU when camera in the grid ![]()

Lol! I had the same problem today! I knew about the fact fact that we can’t see the preview if the cam is in the grid but I just didn’t noticed that my cam was inside cause it was on the very edge and when changing resolution it disappeared. Can be quite confusing some time.
Indeed - this is because the thing that is actually shaded in the viewport is the box of the simulator, so once you cross the front walls, the shading is gone. I think we could make the back walls of the box shaded instead of the front ones and this would help make it better…
