I saw a video from Shawn Astrom on YT where he created a lens that increased chromatic aberration, by making a glass material with dispersion.
So i feel that could make sense.
If you want to create chromatic aberrations I suggest doing it in post ie: Photoshop. Dispersion is the separation of light (colour) as it’s being scattered/refracted. See attached. It will also increase your render times greatly.
I used a glass material with dispersion enabled on some earlier renders. There were no noise problems in these renders.
I liked the way it made the glass look, although not knowing exactly what it does. Makes sense?
I am nice, it was just a question. I’ve been a lot harsher in the past. By God…is it now offensive to ask? Is someone from the ministry of love coming to knock on my door soon?
