Hidden Object in REVIT still show in Enscape window

Hello,

I Have this issue that some object are hidden in REVIT view but they still shown on the Enscape rendered window.

I did take a look in the help docs but I could not find any specifics of what the best way to hide object to not be rendered.

Also our files are usually divided in several XRef parts, will this affect the visibility for Enscape too?

Thanks.

Generally speaking, Enscape should show exactly what the view shows in Revit when switched to “Realistic”. Is there something special about the object being shown? Can you post comparison screenshots or even better, you send a small project that reproduces this behaviour to

Does the problem occur on a fresh start of Enscape, or does it only happen when changing your model while Enscape performes live updates?

Hi fco3d,

Double check that the 3D view you’re looking at in Revit, is the same 3D view Enscape is showing.

We sometimes have these different on purpose; so we’re able to model in Revit, whilst hiding things to make it a bit easier to work with, whilst showing the entirely of the model in Enscape.

This is usually confusing for people because it’s pretty much a bug that limits enscapes ability to make changes when a perspective view is active In revit. Once you make the changes in your perspective go to a generic 3-D axon view. And then the changes that you made to the perspective will get pushed to Enscape. Enscape devs, I’m not sure what clout you guys have here but this really is a clunky moment that confuses many users. Every time I have to explain it to them there’s no reason behind the madness it’s just having to give them more caveats in order to complete their work

@mattendler I guess you are speaking about the limitation of former Revit versions. It was not possible to execute any API calls when a perspective view was active. This has changed with Revit 2017.1 and Enscape should update itself when working in perspective views.

If that’s not what you meant, please be more precise.
