hollow object behaving like a solid, particles do not go inside.

Attached is a very simple scene where I have a vase kind object, the particles collide with the bounding box of the object and not with the real geometry, what I’m missing here?

Your Vase has flipped normals, try flipping and resim. It worked on this side.
