I’m trying to render a fly thru animation using the incremental irradiance map calculation method. I get vray to calculate the map, and then when I get it to render the animation it starts calculating the irr map for each frame. I can’t figure out what I’m doing wrong. Here are my settings. Can anyone tell me what I’m doing wrong?
Thanks for your reply. Normally after I’ve created the irradiance map using the ‘incremental add to map’ vray normally switches to ‘From File’ and then renders from the calculated map. For some reason this has stopped happening. I know I’ve done something wrong but I can’t figure out what.
For an animation you would still want to leave it on incremental add to current map because just incase you missed some spot in the intial IR map sweep.
Usually doing this will cause it to calc the IR map in a way, but it is much much faster than normal full calc of an IR map. No more than a 5 seconds in my tests.
