institutional license issues

:revit: Hello, I have a problem with the licenses, yesterday I was working normally with the revit enscape in Spanish and everything was correct, but today it appeared to me that there was a problem with the license, so I unlinked it and requested another, but now it appears that the license is expired, and when I try to enter it, it says that the license has not been validated because the license service could not be accessed, I am using the latest version of enscape connected to the internet and I do not use a proxy server, I hope you can help me, thanks

Hey @darienc33 , I’m very sorry to hear about this issue!

The error you’ve sent us indicates that Enscape could not connect to our servers.

Provided that you had access to the internet at the time this issue occurred, I assume that you’re probably connected to the internet via a proxy server?

In that case, you might need to configure your proxy settings. You can do that by opening the General Settings window and selecting the Network option. Click the Edit Proxy Settings button, which will open the Enscape Proxy Server window. Then un-check the Use System Default checkbox to allow your proxy server details to be entered. You may need to ask your IT Administrator what information you need to fill out in these fields.

If, however, you’re not connected to a proxy server, another possibility is that your firewall is blocking Enscape from connecting to our Asset Library server. Please set the following URL exceptions, that are for connection to the Enscape Asset Library, Web Standalone, Panoramas, and Feedback services, to listen on port ‘443‘ with protocol set to TCP (http and https):

Please contact us if the issue continues to persist!

I have the same problem

I have fully disabled windows firewall. I have no other firewall.

Windows firewall has no option to set URL exceptions, only program exceptions.

The page you linked does not contain any information on how to set URL exceptions or even where to begin? Is it done in within windows? is it done in the router?

It’s usually done within the router itself and hereby it really does depend on the interface (and model) of the router used as well - if you have a system administrator nearby feel free to contact that person for further assistance as well.

I tried to install and activate enscape on my laptop. It works on my laptop so this eliminates my router as the one blocking enscape.

I have disabled windows firewall completely on my desktop but license server still cannot be reached. Please help!

I have resolved this issue by reformatting the pc and doing a fresh install of windows and sketchup.

It was not related to any router issue, or firewall. On the same computer, it is now working after a fresh install

I’m very glad to hear about that - usually, such a drastic measurement is not required, but it’s still good to know that this finally resolved the problem at hand, so thanks a lot for the feedback!
