Hi Vlado is the vray standalone for maya 100% compatible with 3dsmax vray scene file? And also render elements setuped in max are working or not?
I would like to know it if renderfarm can be setuped on linux or not?
Thank a lot

Yes, the standalone from V-Ray for Maya can render the .vrscene files exported from 3ds Max. If you use the .vrscene exporter maxscript, most of the render elements will come out fine (diffuse, reflection, specular, gi etc), but some of them are not yet supported properly (like VRaySamplerInfo).

Thank a lot for answer.
My second question is, can be rendered also fumefx, thninking particles etc, rendered in this way, i mean export the scene to .vrscene and send it to linux renderfarm with vray standalone?
Nope, this won’t work. It could be made to work for Thinking Particles and Particle Flow as in the end they produce geometry which can be written to the .vrscene file. But there is nothing to be done about FumeFX for the moment (there might be a way to get the grid data out of FumeFX and pass it over to the Phoenix FD shaders but we have not tried that). Other 3rd party plugins related to rendering (textures, materials, lights) won’t work either. Plugins that produce geometry in the end (modifiers, geometric objects like Frost) will work fine.
Best regards,
Vlado
