I am writing this after trying to resolve this issue for about 6 months.
I ran an update to Enscape back in October, to work within Sketchup 2025. I was working within Sketchup 2022 and a legacy version of Enscape (both worked fine). Running on an HP Z Workstation.
After my update, my EXISTING larger enscape files would CRASH upon loading. Never had the issue before but could not find a work around. These files are interior design models with a lot of heavy graphics, materials and objects. Files range from 700MB-1.3GB.
Finally resolved the issue by discovering the latest Enscape upgrades from October onward almost DOUBLES the RAM and VRAM requirements. I was running at 48GB RAM, newer Enscape application is taking almost 98GB of RAM for these files. SAME EXACT FILES, but MORE MEMORY REQUIRED. Yes I know 48GB was not a tone of RAM, but never thought of it because everything worked before and was more than suggested minimum.
I recommend having at least 128GB of RAM and 2TB of hard disk space if you create memory heavy models.
Please let me know if anyone else discovered this? I hope this is helpful!
